Chardham yatra Itinerary (9 Days / 8 Nights)

Day 1: Haridwar-Barkot (192.8 km / 6 Hours)

• Depart from Haridwar and drive towards Barkot.
• Enjoy a scenic drive through Mussoorie, a charming hill station.
• Check in to your hotel upon arrival in Barkot.
• During summer, expect favorable weather with temperatures ranging between 25-30°C.
• In winter, experience cool and pleasant days, with cold nights and temperatures ranging from 10 to 5°C.

Day 2: Barkot – Yamunotri – Barkot (32.1 km drive each way & 6 km trek)

• Enjoy a hearty breakfast and begin your journey to Jankichatti or Phoolchatti, the starting point for Yamunotri.
• Choose between a 6 km trek, horse ride, or doli at your own cost.
• Trek through breathtaking landscapes on your way to Yamunotri.
• Upon reaching Yamunotri, take a refreshing dip in the warm waters of Jamunabai Kund.
• Visit the Yamunotri Temple and experience the divine atmosphere.
• After the visit, return to Jankichatti and drive back to Barkot for an overnight stay.

Day 3: Barkot – Uttarkashi (81.6 kms/3 hrs.)

• Enjoy a delicious breakfast before departing for Uttarkashi.
• Upon arrival, check into your hotel and take some time to relax.
• Explore Uttarkashi, known for its ashrams and temples, situated on the banks of the holy river Ganga.

Day 4: Uttarkashi – Gangotri – Uttarkashi (99.1 km/3-4 hours each way)

• Depart early in the morning to visit Gangotri, an important pilgrimage site on the banks of the river Bhagirathi.
• Take a holy bath in the hot pond before visiting the Gangotri temple.
• Enjoy the serene beauty of the Harshil valley along the journey.
• After the visit, return to Uttarkashi for an overnight stay.

Day 5: Uttarkashi – Guptkashi (199.4 km/ 7 hrs)

• Begin your drive to Guptkashi as the sun rises, passing through Mulgarh and Lambagaon.
• Enjoy beautiful views of the Mandakini River at Tilwara along the way.
• Upon arrival in Guptkashi, check into your hotel and take some time to rest.

Day 6: Guptkashi – Kedarnath – Guptkashi (30 km by road and 16 km one way)

• Begin your day with an early breakfast and trekk 16 Km for holy Kedarnath Dham Temple.
• Complete the full darshan of Kedarnath, a revered site dedicated to Lord Shiva, and immerse yourself in its spiritual significance.
• Choose to either stay overnight at Kedarnath Sarkar guest house or return to Guptkashi.
• Options for arrival include reaching the guest house or taking a helicopter (helicopter ticket not included).
• Alternatively, embark on the journey from Sonprayag to Kedarnath and then return to Guptkashi.

Day 7: Guptkashi-Badrinath (199.6 km/7 hrs.)

• After breakfast, proceed to Badrinath, a significant pilgrimage center dedicated to Lord Vishnu.
• Take a dip in Taptakund and visit Badrivishal to pay your respects.
• Explore other attractions in Badrinath, including Mana Gaon, Vasundhara, Bhim Pul, and more.
• During summer, enjoy pleasant weather in Badrinath with an average maximum temperature of about 18°C and an average minimum of 8°C.
• It’s advisable to carry warm and woolen clothing for a comfortable stay.

Day 8: Badrinath – Joshimath – Rudraprayag (150.2 kms/5 hrs.)

• Drive to Rudraprayag via Joshimath, making a stop to visit the Narasimha Temple in Joshimath.
• Joshimath holds significance as an important town associated with Adi Shankaracharya and serves as the winter seat of Badrinath.
• Upon arrival in Rudraprayag, check into your hotel and enjoy a peaceful evening.
• During summer, expect hot weather in Rudraprayag with temperatures ranging between 35-40°C.
• In winter, both days and nights are cold, with temperatures ranging from 20 to 5°C.

Day 9: Rudraprayag – Haridwar (156.9 kms/ 5 hrs.)

• Conclude your Char Dham Yatra with a drive to Haridwar via Rishikesh.
• Rishikesh, renowned as the ‘Yoga Capital of the World,’ is a spiritual city located on the banks of the Ganges.
• Explore its famous landmarks, such as Laxman Jhula and Ram Jhula, soaking in the serene atmosphere.
• Your journey culminates in Haridwar as you bid farewell to the tranquil landscapes and sacred cities.

Helicopter Transfer: In the morning, our designated driver will accompany you to your scheduled helipad location (Phata, Guptkashi, Sirsi, etc.), as per your helicopter ticket schedule. We request that you provide the driver with the specific time specified on your helicopter ticket one day in advance. Different aviation service providers may use different locations for their helicopter services. Our driver will ensure both pick-up and drop-off from your hotel. We strongly recommend making advance reservations for helicopter service.

Trekking Route: If you are planning to reach Kedarnath via trekking route, then your journey starts by reaching Gaurikund. Early morning, after breakfast, we will arrange transportation to Sonprayag. Our vehicle will take you to Sonprayag, and from there, you can find local jeeps available for shared rides to Gaurikund at your own expense. The distance between Gaurikund and Kedarnath is approximately 14 kilometers, which you will cover by trekking.

• 75% of full tour cost – between 14 and 7 days prior to tour.
• 100% – within 7 days prior to tour.
